With inflation on the rise, 73% of holiday shoppers expect higher prices this holiday season which will reduce the number of gifts they will purchase. However, there are also a number of families that cannot afford to buy holiday gifts. According to a 2021 Deloitte survey, 11.5% of consumers are not planning on any holiday-related spending, which is the highest it has been within the past 10 years. For 2022, the number of people not spending on holiday shopping is likely to be higher, leaving many children without a gift.
HRCap and Community Gift Drive
HRCap is participating in New Jersey Community Development Corporation's (NJCDC) 29th Annual Holiday Gift Drive, which collects gifts for families in Paterson struggling to make ends meet. We hope to make these families’ holidays a little special by contributing gifts and spreading Christmas joy to our community through the Holiday Gift Drive. We have encouraged our teams and employees to donate by either dropping off their gift donations at the HRCap office or buying from the NJCDC’s online wish lists.
NJCDC is a non-profit community development and social service agency in Paterson, NJ that has an ongoing mission of creating opportunities to transform lives through education, youth development, housing, and community-building initiatives.
Extend a Helping Hand
HRCap would also like to invite our clients and candidates to join us in spreading the holiday spirit!
If you would like to participate with us, consider the following options:
- Drop off a gift at the HRCap HQ office. Some gifts to consider are dolls, action figures, art kits & supplies, and science kits. (Gifts should be new and unwrapped.)
- Buy online via these two wish lists: Amazon Wish list and Target Wish list. All gifts bought online through the wish lists will be delivered directly to NJCDC Headquarters in Paterson, NJ.

Although donating one gift may seem insignificant to many of us, it can make a world of a difference for a child. Please partner with us to bring holiday joy and cheer to these children.
